Electric man lifts are an excellent alternative for indoor use, because they do not pollute the air. They also come in small enough sizes that could maneuver them around blockages and barriers to fit through standard-sized doorways. These kinds of man lifts are capable of fitting and maneuvering into tight areas easily. They are capable of reaching overhead work areas.

These models have a liability exposure, because of the possibility of a fuel system leak whilst the truck is situated indoors. Additionally, operators have to be trained on the safe use of propane fuel. The rearward visibility off of the back end of the counterweight is limited. This is due to the propane tank's location.
