Hyster is an international company that builds more than 300 diverse versions of forklifts. However, it started as a manufacturer of lifting machinery and winches. Through the 80's Hyster continued to concentrate on developing industry leading forklifts. The Hyster brand name was known throughout the world for its dedication towards superiority. In 1989, a large multinational company based in Ohio called NACCO Industries bought Hyster and started an aggressive growth strategy.
